An Infusion RN (registered nurse) is a healthcare professional who provides nursing care and support to patients receiving intravenous (IV) therapy. The main focus of the job is to administer IV medications, fluids, and treatments, and monitor the patient's response to treatment. Some of the responsibilities of an Infusion RN include:

Assessing the patient's health status and creating a care plan that meets their individual needs.

Administering IV medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the physician.

Monitoring the patient's vital signs and medical condition.

Performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results to help diagnose and treat the patient's condition.

Providing education and support to the patient and their family regarding their medical condition and treatment plan.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, pharmacists, and laboratory technicians, to ensure the patient receives comprehensive care.

Keeping detailed records of the patient's medical history and progress.

Responding to emergency situations and performing life-saving procedures, if necessary.

The ideal candidate for this role should have a current nursing license and experience working with IV therapy. Strong technical skills, such as the ability to start and maintain IV lines, are essential, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, good communication and interpersonal skills are important in order to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

This is a not full time but contracted travel position.
