An Interventional Therapy RN (registered nurse) is a healthcare professional who provides nursing care and support to patients undergoing interventional medical procedures. These procedures are minimally invasive and typically use catheters or other instruments to diagnose and treat medical conditions. The main focus of the job is to monitor patients during procedures, administer medications and treatments, and ensure they receive the best possible care. Some of the responsibilities of an Interventional Therapy RN include:

Assessing the patient's health status and creating a care plan that meets their individual needs.

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.

Monitoring the patient's vital signs and medical condition during interventional procedures.

Assisting the physician during interventional procedures by preparing the patient, monitoring their condition, and managing any adverse reactions.

Providing education and support to the patient and their family regarding their medical condition and treatment plan.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as radiologists and anesthesiologists, to ensure the patient receives comprehensive care.

Keeping detailed records of the patient's medical history and progress.

Responding to emergency situations and performing life-saving procedures, if necessary.

The ideal candidate for this role should have a current nursing license and experience working in a hospital or procedural setting. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of focus in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also important in order to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

This is a not full time but contracted travel position.
