Work hours: PRN II/per diem, Days shift (7a and 11a shift), Minimum requirement: 3 shifts/per 6-week schedule, Weekend requirement: 1 shifts per 6-week schedule, Holiday requirement: 1 major/1 minor

What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Department Highlights:
- 10-bed emergency department
- Located about 15 miles south of downtown Ft. Worth
- Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Full-service ED with highly qualified nursing staff
- Providing care for a wide variety of patients from neonate, pediatric and seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries

Here's what you need
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS - within 90 days of hire required
- PALS - within 90 days of hire required or ENPC - within 12 months of hire required
- NIHSS - within 90 days of hire required
- TNCC or ATCN - within 12 months of hire required
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 60 days of hire
- 1-year registered nursing experience required
- Current ED experience strongly preferred - will consider ICU experience
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
- demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
- possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
- have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
