Coddle Creek Animal Hospital is a 4 DVM practice located in Concord, North Carolina and nestled in the piedmont of North Carolina. We are just minutes away from the Charlotte area and beautiful Lake Norman. Charlotte offers a variety of activities from the many parks, concerts, malls, museums, breweries, Charlotte Motor Speedway and of course Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers! You can spend time at Lake Norman on the weekends boating, fishing and enjoying the sunshine! You can also hop in the car and be at the Carolina coast in about 3 hours and to the Blue Ridge Mountains in 2 hours.

Coddle Creek Animal Hospital was founded in 1996 and we are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to canine and feline patients. We utilize Avimark veterinary software and Idexx for all of our reference diagnostic needs, both in house and out. The in-house diagnostics including Lasercyte, Sedivue, and Catalyst equipment, as well as digital dental x-ray and DR x-ray. Within the last 2 years we have purchased a Navi Vet Ultrasound. We offer a variety of surgical services to our patients in our spacious surgical suite. We currently have 4 exam rooms, an isolation room and a comfort room with room to expand. Our goal is to provide personalized care with exceptional hospitality to our patients and clients! We have a collaborative, supportive DVM approach to provide the highest level of medicine. We work together as a team to provide the best care to allow our patients to live longer healthier lives. We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team and help ensure we are providing those great experiences. When you join our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you gain access to a peer network of over 5000 individuals, CE allowance, and Learning & Development programs to help you meet your career goals.

Position Skills:

• Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
• Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
