An enterprise eCommerce client is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their team in Mexico. As an Application Security Engineer, they will:
- Create, use, and improve security tools for the Application Security program
- Conduct security testing such as SAST, DAST, SCA, IAC, and container scans
- Verify, prioritize, and remediate security flaws
- Design, implement, and monitor security workflows for the SDLC
- Partner with engineers, developers, and security teams to resolve security issues and implement mitigations
- Evaluate and provide feedback on application designs and solutions
- Support development teams in applying secure coding best practices
- Assess the security and risk level of consumer-facing applications and services
- Define application security requirements and security baselines
- Share your security expertise with team members and product teams
- Keep up with the latest application security trends, vulnerabilities, and attacks

This role can sit fully remote in Mexico.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience with Java and/or .NET
- Desire to pursue a career in application security
- Understanding of security risks and threats, and in developing effective and measurable mitigation programs
- Great communicator and able to effectively prioritize and advance a large number of projects happening simultaneously
- Basic software development experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- API integration experience
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerability and how to identify attacks.
- Knowledge on network and cloud technologies like CDNs, FW, Bot Management and Fraud Prevention Systems.
