Associate Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage and expand both new and existing customer accounts across the Eastern US/Canada and international markets through regular meetings, conference calls, and outreach initiatives.
  • Build and sustain long-term customer relationships in all assigned territories.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and executives to address complex issues related to technical, commercial, quality, and regulatory matters.
  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual sales pipelines, including budget forecasts.
  • Develop and provide quotations and contractual agreements for both new and existing customers.
  • Actively engage with Account Managers in the preparation, discussion, and negotiation of quotations and other business-related matters.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities within the customer portfolio.
  • Coordinate or participate in trade shows and conferences.
  • Provide support to Account Managers for domestic and international sales efforts, including customer meetings, networking events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of master data; manage key sales reporting systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, news, and product developments in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Close sales by building rapport with potential clients, explaining product offerings, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts.
  • Drive sales growth within existing accounts by identifying additional services to meet customer needs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Natural or Physical Sciences, a related scientific field, or Business with a strong technical focus.
  • 1+ years of outside sales or field experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical services industry is preferred, with medical device experience also considered.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering presentations and leading complex technical and business discussions, influencing key stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Motivated by sales and driven to succeed.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to think strategically with good analytical skills.
  • Team player with experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
