JOB REQUIREMENTS

This is a perfect opportunity fora dynamic Group Sales professional that is passionate about hospitality and interested in representing a resort that has positioned itself as a market leader. The ideal candidate will be wellconnected in the Midwest and Northeast markets and will be based remotely in one of these territories. We offer unique guest experiences that include 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting venues and 500 acres of breakout space - an organic garden where you can regularly find the Executive Chef and Farmer Mark debating what to plant and harvest next, apiary outings where guests meet the bees and beekeeper, indoor fitness center and movement studio and acres of land dotted with miles of hiking and horse trails. A short walk back through our pinot noir vineyard and you can join Chef in the Adventure Kitchen for demonstrations, team-building or friendly competitions.

The position is remote, and must be based in the Midwest or Northeast for eligibility.

Qualifications:
This career opportunity will allow for Group Sales Manager to grow their experience. An ideal candidate will have at least three to five years experience in Group Sales in the luxury hotel or resort market.
  • Taking a proactive approach to find new group accounts.
  • Strong prospecting selling skills and the ability to close business
  • Availability to travel approximately 30% of the time
  • Attend and represent hotel at trade shows and conventions and/or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets
  • Demonstrable successful experience with group sales
  • Negotiate pricing within booking guidelines and standard hotel procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with current and potential clients, via phone, email, and in-person meetings
  • Communicates regularly with various departments involved in servicing accounts
  • Must have schedule flexibility and the availability to work weekends/holidays
  • Ability to self-prioritize, multi-task, and perform well under pressure
The Group Sales Manager will report to the Director of Group Sales and the Director of Sales, Events and Marketing, and will be responsible for new business development and maintaining existing territories. The position will be home-basedwith travel required. A flexible, can do attitude is required to allow us to create many unique events throughout our 500-acre landscape.
