JOB DESCRIPTION
Apex is seeking a dynamic Lead Consultant Specialty with strong consultative skills to serve as a Data Analyst within US & Canada practice as part of Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. This role will also provide technical and management consulting subject matter expertise for clients requesting a strategy or capability assessment and roadmap. As a lead consultant in Apex's data practice, this role is expected to help shape the future of our internal capabilities and go-to-market through regular collaboration with cross-functional teams and continued pursuit of relevant technical training and certifications.
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Work between multiple stakeholders (Business, IT, and vendor) to understand requirements that support the design and implementation of short and long-term strategic projects in support of field data capture and production data flow processes.
  • Coordinate with various Client stakeholders to drive agreement and approval of requirements and other related artifacts
  • Serve as point of contact for status of all assigned areas of focus.
  • Develop and execute communication plans and interfaces.
  • Lead a variety of different types of data solutions including launching new products and services, application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, strategy and governance, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.
  • Protype proof-of-concept dashboards, features, and models to generate feedback and support requirements gathering.
  • Build strong client, industry, and technical community relationships and represent Apex Systems as leaders in Industry and Professional events and communities.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience working in the upstream oil / gas industry
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a collaborative team environment. Interpersonal skills are also vital as direct interaction with a wide range of global users and vendors is expected.
  • Experience with P2s Merrick Suite of products (eVIN, Procount, and Carte) or Seven Lakes Joyn FDG
  • Strong technical skills (SSIS, SSRS, SQL, C#, .NET, JSON, Postman) preferred
  • Experience using web APIs to integrate data between applications preferred
  • Experience supporting data flow from SCADA systems to production accounting systems preferred
  • Experience with collaborating between multiple stakeholders (Business, IT, and vendor) to understand requirements
  • Excellent creative, conceptual, storytelling, and analytic thinking skills
  • Leadership experience and executive level communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with P2 application suite or Seven Lakes experience.
  • Experience creating a roadmap or business plan with estimates for complexity and cost; including people, process, & technology inputs
  • Experience managing a backlog and delivery team of 5 or more technical and non-technical professionals
  • 6-8 years of experience in data analytics projects, and/or any Information Management related projects a must spanning legacy and cloud environments
  • Recent experience as a Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Analytics solution architect developing a roadmap to enable broad access to data and insights across a variety of enterprise users
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in team setting and independently
  • Consulting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems; MBA or master's degree preferred
  • Occasional (monthly) travel may be required
