Remote Regulatory Analyst

A client in the Utilities space is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to join their team. This is a minimum 3 month contract and is fully remote, however, it is required that the candidate must sit in either Delaware, Florida, or Pennsylvania. Pay 40-45/hr depending on experience.

The role will:
- Provide accounting, tax, financial, economic and other quantitative and qualitative analyses of regulatory matters
- Develop the Cost of Service and revenue requirement of the Company to allow for recovery of the Company's costs while maximizing earnings and returns of the business unit
- Provide input and make recommendations to develop, monitor, and maintain cost-competitive rate structures while maximizing the earnings and returns of the business unit, and ensuring the successful recovery of the Company's costs
- Manage regulatory filings, audits, and/or special projects.
- Will plan and review the filing and discovery process of assigned cases

Required Skills & Experience

*Remote but MUST sit in Delaware, Pennsylvania, or Florida

*Roughly 3-5 years of experience performing both quantitative and analytical work in a regulated energy business environment

* Must have a strong understanding of accounting skills and functions

*Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting

*Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

*Utilities industry experience
