Remote Staff Solution Architect

Perform all assigned responsibilities thoroughly, expertly, and with minimal oversight, ensuring status and visibility to leadership
Support Chief Engineer and Technical Lead with the development of technical designs and strategy to meet business and technical requirements
Pragmatically design technically sound solutions according to design requirements
Identify and communicate risks and key decisions upward in a timely manner
Create architectural diagrams and documentation to support the team
Support during non-business hours as needed
Engage as part of an Agile scrum software development team, contributing to scrum ceremonies and collaborating with product owners and other engineers
Foster a culture of excellence within the development team by championing code quality and adhering to best practices in software design and engineering
Proactively propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance the platform's capabilities and adapt to evolving business needs
Collaborate on Infrastructure as Code and automated release management solutions and design, ensuring the platform's scalability and maintainability
Collaborate on design of the ORM and Data Access Layer
Collaborate on design of RESTful services in AWS
Collaborate on design of batch services to handle scheduled and event-driven tasks
Ability to provide proof of concept support
Good at technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years ofprofessionalexperienceworkingas a full stack software engineer, with 3+ of those years being in the area of software architecture
5+ years of experience working with a Public Cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP). AWS certification(s) preferred
Strong proficiency with AWS, especially core services such as Lambda and serverless architectures; experience with AWS best practices and a broad range of AWS tools and services (API, compute, queueing, message streaming, application-level networking, and security).

The important area of focus would be on the AWS Background and expertise along with previous software/application design & architecture experience.

Expertise in Typescript and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Expertise in design principles such as SOLID, YAGNI, DRY, etc.
Expertise working with REST APIs and understanding of OAuth flows (Postman a plus)
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK), automated release management and CI/CD required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases: design, querying, basic administration, development, etc. (PostgreSQL preferred)
