Job Summary
Collects, evaluates, and interprets research data to provide information to principal investigators and other researchers. Updates notebooks, records and performs data entry on databases as needed. May work with research participants including managing participant and lab schedules, and testing as necessary. Maintains clean laboratory and/or work area to ensure safe and efficient work environment. Orders laboratory and other supplies as directed by senior research staff. May coordinate the work of others as needed. Stays abreast of IRB and other regulatory requirements.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or in daily interactions in a public services environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a cognate subject. Good interpersonal skills, task-oriented, able to maintain high degrees of confidentiality, basic computer skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support for various research projects. Conducts research activities according to research protocol. Research activities may include some or all of the following: patient recruiting and screening, assistance with conducting human EEG , fMRI and behavioral studies, and data analysis. Assistance with IRB protocols.
