Position Summary

A Research Assistant supports research projects by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data under the supervision of lead researchers. This role involves conducting literature reviews, preparing reports, and assisting in the design and execution of experiments or surveys. The Research Assistant also ensures accurate data entry and may contribute to presentations or publications. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or collaboratively are key for this position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking stakeholders and contribute to research or administrative tasks requiring bilingual capabilities.
  • High level of accuracy in handling.
  • Familiarity with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scheduling tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, participants, and community members.
  • Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality policies when handling sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sitting for lengthy periods of time as much of their responsibilities are executed using the computer, and skilled typing.
