Job Description:

Under general supervision, conduct research activities such as data collection and analysis, special studies, and writing assignments/ reports of more than ordinary difficulty and responsibility. Perform related work, such as analysis of research data, and assist in the interpretation, conceptualization, and design of upcoming clinical research.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:
1. Performs research activities by collecting and analyzing information and data of a current and historical nature for use in the preparation of booklets, pamphlets, articles, reports, and speeches. This includes but is not limited to both retrospective and prospective research studies.
2. Obtains pertinent source material using library or literature research, examination, and analysis of Data records, books or other publications, and personal interviews such as research surveys, and qualitative and quantitative studies.
3. Prepares written reports such as interpretation of research study data using statistical analysis while working closely with investigators and other research team members.
4. Maintains data (electronic or paper) of factual and statistical information for departmental use in compliance with ICH-GCP research practices.
5. Handles telephone and correspondence requests for information requiring research.
6. May also be in charge of a small departmental library.
7. Performs administrative duties required to ensure efficient library service.
8. the Department of Rent and Housing Maintenance conducts rental value studies of moderate complexity, and assists in research studies and surveys.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree issued after completion of a four-year course in an accredited college and one year of full-time paid experience in research involving the use of analytical research methods and report writing; or
2. High School graduation or evidence of having passed an examination for the High School equivalency diploma or the U.S. Armed Forces GED certificate with a score of at least 35 on each of the five tests and an overall score of at least 225 in the examination for the diploma or certificate and five years or full-time paid experience as described above; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's Degree issued by an accredited college may be substituted for one year of the required experience. However, all candidates must be High School graduates or possess the High School equivalency as described above.
