We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the Charles L. Brown Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Virginia. We are seeking a qualified candidate with expertise in algorithm and coding development for high performance, large scale PDE solvers applied to transport problems in electronics, optoelectronics or phononics.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field is required by the start date. Candidates having experience with Green's function solvers, optoelectronic device modeling and electron transport physics modeling will be preferred. The research associate should have knowledge of high performance parallel computing, eigenvalue solvers, and numerical algorithms. Must be able to work in a team environment, lead new research initiatives, and meet project goal deadlines.
