NorPro is looking for driven, talented, and energetic entry level researchers to join our current team in conducting hands-on laboratory experiments for key development programs. Projects will focus on process and product development activities related to Saint-Gobain extensive product line. Phases of development include pilot, scale-up, and implementation of R&D processes into manufacturing.

The candidate will design, run experiments, produce lab scale samples, operate pilot equipment, and analyze the experimental outcomes under the direction of their manager. Also, the candidate will be expected to conduct experiments to support projects led by others.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist the project team in using sound technical knowledge of materials, processes, and products to modify/improve product performance, reduce costs, develop new products or processes, and to support new knowledge research.
  • Participates with a project team to interface with manufacturing plants and sales and marketing teams for new product development and resolves escalated technical issues.
  • Develops and improves product evaluation capabilities in the laboratory, and document standard operation procedures. Document new tests and work with technicians to implement.
  • Assists in the development of disclosures and other IP analysis with focus upon catalytic carrier technology.

Ce poste est-il fait pour vous ?
  • BS Degree in Ceramics Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines
  • Knowledge of ceramic processing techniques and characterization preferred
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 processes and procedures, statistics and experimental design, health and safety practices and government regulations preferred
