The Center for Precision Imaging (Director: Umar Mahmood, MD, PhD) at the Massachusetts General

Hospital Martinos Center/Harvard Medical School has openings for highly qualified individuals at the

post-doctoral level with strong background in preclinical PET molecular imaging and interest in

molecular imaging of cancer. Our Center is at the forefront of personalized PET molecular imaging and

we are working to pioneer novel precision imaging and therapy approaches. We have a long-standing

interest in developing and translating targeted biological PET probes for improved tumor characterization

for personalizing cancer treatment and autoimmune conditions. Over the past decade, we have

produced many PET and optical imaging probes for assessing immune system activation, receptor

imaging, imaging of the tumor microenvironment and interrogation of metabolome. Our group has led

ome of the first efforts to diagnose therapeutic resistance through receptor imaging and feedback loop

ignaling, monitor and predict the immune response in cancer immunotherapy and utilize targeted

imaging to determine effective therapy dosing, among others. These efforts have led to two first-inhuman

imaging agents, most recently 68Ga-NOTA-hGZP for imaging granzyme B, currently in open trial

for clinical validation.

Selected candidate(s) will be involved in a wide range of preclinical imaging projects using our

proprietary PET probes for imaging and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals for treatment of cancer.

Candidates should have a PhD degree and ideally previous experience in PET image acquisition, image

analysis, radiolabeling with radiometals, working with small animal models and basic wet lab skills.

Proficiency in scientific writing is strongly desired. Interested candidates should email a cover letter, CV

(including a full list of publications), a statement of research interests and goals and the contact

information for 3 referees. Please send to umahmood@mgh.harvard.edu.
