Responsibilities include:
- Designs, conducts and assists with biomedical research or experimental protocols involving cardiac imaging and /or treatment outcomes.
- Duties include analysis of results and appropriate peer review reporting of results; protocol writing to achieve valid experimental results by academic standards; and oversight of experiment operations applicable to areas of scientific inquiry is responsible for.
- Other responsibilities include training other research personnel in research procedures, and oversight of study implementation.
Qualifications
Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Appropriate to the assigned research projects, preferred skills may include database management, grantsmanship, medical and nursing research protocol design, manuscript/abstract/presentation preparation.
- Preferred computer skills may include demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop.
- Proficiency in basic biostatistical analysis required.
- Commensurate with the academic professional level anticipated for the research activities, required grant design , result reporting, budget development and scientific writing skills (to include protocol design, abstract, poster and computer media presentations) will be evidenced.
- Experience in analyzing and tracking budget performance for multiple simple to complex projects required.
- PhD/MD with emphasis in life science, epidemiology or other field of study with direct applicability to biomedical and health research.
