About the Opportunity

The Research Specialist will support ongoing research projects in studying mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease and exchange the technical and scientific knowledge.

What you'll do:

• Design and execute experiments to support ongoing research projects in studying mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease and exchange the technical and scientific knowledge.
• Collect and analyze data using various scientific techniques and methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of research findings.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and properly calibrated.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Use statistical software and tools to analyze experimental data and Interpret results and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with team members to refine experimental approaches based on data analysis.
• Participate in team meetings, presenting research findings and discussing project progress.
• Write and contribute to scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Assist in the preparation of abstracts, posters, and presentations for scientific meetings.
• Ensure all research activities comply with institutional and federal regulations, including ethical standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of research data and adhere to data protection protocols.

Qualifications

• Masters in Science or related field:
• A minimum six (6) months research/laboratory experience is required.
• Knowledge of laboratory environment and appropriate procedures
• Manuscript and grant writing
• Knowledge and ability to use and learn lab software/applications
• Good organization skills and self-motivation
• Familiarity with and adherence to laboratory safety protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to cardiovascular research.
• Ability to get along with others in a group setting.
