Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology, neuroscience, molecular biology, or a related field in hand by July 2024. Experience with research activities. Specialized training and experience in operating equipment, carrying out test procedures, and using special methods of biology, neuroscience, or molecular biology for data collation and interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology, neuroscience, molecular biology or a related field in hand by July 2024. Experience with imaging, molecular biology, cloning, mouse maintenance, breeding, genotyping of complex genetic crosses; basic animal surgery and preparing harvested organs and tissues for cultivation and histological analysis.

Brief Description of Duties:
Within defined test or analytical protocols, operate equipment, carry out test procedures, as well as collate and interpret data using special methods in support of a research project or program for Dr. Grigori Enikolopov the Department of Anesthesiology. The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Duties:
  • Conduct experiments; provide technical laboratory support, and/or animal handling to assist with experiments conducted.
  • Perform literature search; staying current in the field by reading and discussing the literature and experimental results with the supervisor and/or PI.
  • Collect data, record observations measurements and prepare reports for review of supervisor and or PI.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.
