Research Technician - 3rd Shift

The Research technician - 3rd Shift will be a part of the Small Volume Manufacturing team in Carlsbad supporting small scale manufacturing process and the experimental products M4Ward™program. The Small Volume team works closely with the R&D, Quality Control and Engineering teams. The Small Volume teams will work to scale up production from R&D and assist in transitioning production to high volume scale up as needed. Responsibilities and tasks include: Chemical purification, sampling, packaging.Vessel cleaning and break down.Maintain a clean and efficient lab environment.Maintain a current chemical inventory.Equipment maintenance. Physical Attributes: Wearing full face air-purifying respirator and other PPE.Lifting to 50 pounds.Standing, sitting, or walking for up to 8 hours.Raising arms up to and possibly above 90-degree angle.This will be an overnight shift. Tuesday through Saturday. 9pm - 5:30am. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: High school Diploma or GED1+ years' experience handling chemicals or chemical containers Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of P&ID's.Prior chemistry lab experience handling acids and bases.Knowledge and experience performing small-scale purification and packaging of specialty chemicals.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and technical drawings.A strong focus on quality and safety.Experience using Microsoft suite including (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint).Experience using SAP and LIMS systems.Strong data analysis, attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
