The department provides a hub for collaborations across the UCLA campus to enable scientific discovery in biomedical data sciences and then works hand in hand with the UCLA Health System to apply these discoveries to improve patient care. Utilize your skills and knowledge, while growing your career as a Staff Research Technician (SRA 2). With guidance from the Laboratory Manager and Principal Investigator, the Staff Research Technician will assist in the development of genomic testing and analyses for Federally-funded projects.

Duties include:

• Performing PCR analysis on large volumes of assays.
• Sequencing assays, and performing proliferation assays.
• Cataloguing results on the clinical database.
• Reposting outlying results.
• Isolation of RNA and DNA from swabs.
• Preparation of protein lysates and performing western blots as needed.

Salary range: $28.88 - $46.46 Hourly
