A full-time staff researcher position is open for a qualified individual to assist in the advancement of research projects developing translational magnetic research imaging (MRI) methods and technology. Specific activities will include learning how to conduct quantitative MRI experiments, develop analysis algorithms and participating in the evaluation of in vitro and in vivo data. Algorithm implementation and innovation will be key targets in support of cancer detection pipelines.
Responsibilities
• 20% - Explore quantitative imaging methods and assisting in MRI experiments
• 20% - Develop analysis algorithm to analyze in vivo and in vitro quantitative data.
• 20% - Learn about MRI in cancer and assist in pipeline development of cancer prediction pipelines.
• 20% - Assist in data curating and analysis from ongoing studies.
• 20% - Report to and interact with the P.I. and other project coinvestigators.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
Required Qualifications:
• BS/BA (in Biomedical Engineering, formal sciences, applied sciences, engineering, technology, or related STEM-focused major) or a combination of education (in the listed fields) and experience to equal four years.
• Image processing and/or data analysis skills
• Experience in programming Matlab and/or Python
• High level of organizational skills to manage study data
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree: a Master's degree, equivalent, or higher.
• Post Baccalaureate Experience in research or engineering disciplines beyond
• Evidence of contributions to open-source code (github, Matlab central, etc.)
• Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
