The Right of Way Agent is responsible for performing land and rights of way acquisition and permitting functions for new construction and operation projects in Longview, Texas and surrounding areas in East Texas. This individual will be supporting 2 agents with acquiring pipeline and accessing easements in person and interacting with landowners.
Additional responsibilities include preparing reports related to easement rights, title updates, landowner claims, and preparing and negotiating legal agreements associated with real property. The Right of Way Agent must be able to interpret complicated provisions contained within legal agreements associated with real property, identify and acquire permits from private, local, state and federal agencies, and investigate, negotiate, settle and issue checks for damage claims. This role will be an in office and traveling position - no remote work is available.

Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of experience with rights of way acquisition, preparing easement rights reports, landowner claims, and preparing and negotiating legal agreements
Experience acquiring permits from private, local, state, and federal agencies
Experience settling and issuing checks for damage claims
Experience preparing, analyzing, and updating landowner claims and title documents
Bachelors Degree
Experience speaking with external stakeholders and landowners
Experience with GIS, Excel, Outlook
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Midstream industry experience
5+ years of title experience
Bilingual
