This position helps cover Scripps Memorial La Jolla, Encinitas, and Mercy San Diego.

Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the Seasonal team, you can fill vital roles on a contract basis (13 weeks or up to 26 weeks) to provide critical coverage for peak seasonal demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments.

We invite you to join our Systemwide Seasonal team with Maternal Child Health as a Registered Nurse.

• You will provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice.
• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
• Take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Required Experience/Specialized Skills:

• 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery AND Post-Partum.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced NRP (AAP issued 7 th or 8 th edition).
• Current Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring Certificate (AWHONN or NCC)

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Travel Requirements:

• Will be assigned to one of the three Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, and San Diego.
