New Vista Health and Wellness is currenly recruiting a Registered Nurse for an RN Supervisor position at BlueRidge Vista, a premier behavioral health hospital located in Cincinna, OH.

Shift: Full Time Night shift.

Estimated Pay: Starting at $38 (based on experience).

THE ROLE

The position of Nursing Supervisor delegates, supervises and provides personal nursing care for residents and leadership to the nursing staff to assure that care standards are met and the highest degree of quality resident care is provided at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for the RN Supervisor position, you must have:
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program
  • Current unencumbered licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Positive Attitude!
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
  • CPR and Handle With Care Certification (HWC certification will be provided upon hire.)
  • Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.
  • More than one (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
  • BLS training preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As RN Supervisor, you will:
  • Assist in orientation and training of new employees and participate in their ongoing training.
  • Develop and communicate shift assignments for nursing staff and monitor job performance to assure that staff are performing their work assignments within acceptable nursing standards.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Keep the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers informed of staff, resident, family, and/or center concerns/needs and other related information and assist with solutions as needed.
  • Review reports from other shifts and ensure follow-up as needed on resident care and related matters.
  • Educate floor staff as needed.
  • Medically assess referrals in intake as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling as needed..
