Assists surgeons and anesthesiologist and coordinates flow of equipment, supplies and staff during a surgical procedure. Assures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participates in patient care planning, assessment and nursing treatment.

Qualifications:

Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: Minimum one year previous full time experience in the operating room. CA RN license and BLS.

Education: High school or equivalent, Associates Degree or equivalent.

Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification: (1) PALS, (2) CNOR. Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
