Job Summary:

32-40 hours per week, Mon.-Fri. - 7:00am-3:00pm

Coordinates, supervises and assists in the delivery of resident care for one 29-bed long term care unit. Responsible for staff supervision of nurses (LPN/RN) and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physician staff for planning and implementing nursing care for long-term and acutely ill geriatric residents, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. Works closely with the DON to constantly improve the quality of resident care and services provided by your team. Assists in training, evaluation and retention of staff. Interacts with families and conducts interdisciplinary care plan meetings.

Qualifications:

• Current MA RN or LPN License - in good standing.
• Minimum 2-4 years experience as RN/LPN, preferably in a long term care setting.
• Nursing management experience required.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.
• Proficient computer skills. Experience with electronic medical records.
• Demonstrates the role of supervisor in a professional and courteous manner.
• Patience, compassion, and a desire to work with the elderly.
