Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Sales Support role is responsible for assisting customers across all Southland Group locations with order status, tracking, returns, and problem resolution. The role also involves supporting the sales counter, creating web and sales orders, and working closely with various internal departments such as purchasing and accounting to gather necessary information. This position plays a key role in ensuring customers have a positive experience, especially when dealing with unexpected issues.

  • Assist sales reps and customers with new orders and order entry, tracking numbers, ship ment dates and freight charges , invoices, refunds, payment issues
  • Assist other departments with incoming calls and emails , including those for related companies
  • Work with shipping company ensuring correct information, any transit issues or refunds as needed
  • Responsible for web orders and all communication relating to these orders
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) on accounting functions related to customer and vendor orders or purchase orders and accounts
  • Assist with tracking and communicating urgent messages to sales rep


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • H igh school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required
  • Customer s ervice e xperience preferred but not required
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have high functioning computer skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software applications
  • TSC Electrical Training Classes completed within one (1) year of hire date
