Job Description

The Salesforce Business Analyst position will be part of an Enterprise Application team supporting a global user community as well as internal departments. It is a fast paced environment where individuals that take initiative and are self-driven will excel. It requires the ability to participate in meetings and support users across time zones around the world, so flexibility and availability at early morning and evening hours is sometimes necessary.

The primary function of the Business Analyst III is to serve as an IT subject matter expert (SME) for AECOM's sell process, the company's CRM system, custom apps supporting the sell process, and related integrations with Oracle EBS Project Finance modules and business intelligence data repository.

The person in this this role will be primarily responsible for understanding the business processes that support the bid proposal process as well as understanding Marketing Cloud and its management of contacts. The role also requires a technical understanding of how Salesforce is configured to support the process. Knowledge and understanding of validation rules, formulas, custom settings, and custom APEX code is essential to reaching the depth of understanding that is required to succeed in this role. An understanding of integration patterns is also an important need for this role.

The role provides career growth in application architecture. The candidate will have the ability to provide input to the development of product roadmaps, design solutions, as well lead implementation efforts on large initiatives.

In this role, the Business Analyst III partners with users and stakeholders to identify opportunities and needs for continuous improvement that will streamline work efforts. Management of user expectations is a critical skill for the person in this position.

This role requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively across various initiatives. It also requires the ability to develop relationships with different levels of employees and team members.

The ideal candidate understands the software development lifecycle and is willing to engage on all stages.

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules (including a combination of both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual) in either Dallas or Houston, TX.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities
  • Partner with team members to understand and document enhancement requests
  • Build process flows to illustrate current and future processes Interpret data schema diagrams produced by Salesforce to understand data relationships between objects
  • Collaborate with Oracle DB teams and business analytics teams when necessary to make integration updates
  • Engage in design and code reviews for new enhancements with an offshore development team
  • Engage in testing activities to confirm requirements before passing on testing to business stakeholders
  • Assist with release management duties by enforcing the release process and conducting component review meetings.
  • Monitor the test process for monthly releases by tracking statuses and completion activities
  • Ensure adherence to security requirements and processes to maintain highest level of protection for source code, secure interfaces, passwords, data, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or similar plus at least 4 years of relevant work experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • 3+ years of experience in end-to-end SDLC processes and methodologies in both custom application and non-custom application environments
  • Proven ability to perform large scale Systems Analysis, including data mapping and requirements translation into functional solutions
  • Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical people.
  • Ability to manage expectations with business partners and technical teams
  • Must have experience with custom Platform and professional services solutions.
  • Prior experience with solutions that integrate with other applications or solutions
  • Experience in waterfall and agile hybrid methodologies
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently and report out as needed
  • Ability to collaborate across IT disciplines and teams including 3rd parties
  • Experience delivering results using an offshore application development model
  • Broad knowledge of technology and how to connect technology to business problems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in similarly large, complex, and global organizations is a plus
  • Salesforce certifications is a plus.
  • Data modeling experience preferred Apex and Visual Force coding experience preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning components is a plus
  • Prior experience connecting Salesforce or Oracle EBS is a plus

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $61,000.00 - $112,000.00.
