The Amazon Advertising engineering team has an opportunity to be part of something big! Working on advertising for Amazon.com, Kindle Special Offers, and Amazon Mobile Ads, the Ad Product Tools team provides critical tools that streamline ad delivery to millions of Amazon customers. We are onboarding new programs across globe onto this platform. Amazon advertising will enable employee self-sufficiency by providing simple, intuitive self-service tools across devices using communities, lightening, and other Salesforce next gen technologies. We will implement the overall self-service strategy and user experience for our employees and partners by integrating it with other Amazon cross systems and platforms like telephony, content management system (CMS), and analytics ensuring a consistent global experience.
Amazon Ads SP&S team is looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to build and customize Salesforce.com (SFDC) solutions and manage integrations with other systems. This includes designing, developing, testing and deploying custom Apex and object-oriented solutions.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities
* Own all aspects of architecture, end to end design, development, security, design/development best practices, integration and deployment (CI/CD), release architecture and automation regression testing.
* Build solutions in Salesforce.com leveraging Force.com, APEX, Lightning Web Components, Web Services, and APIs.
* Provide expertise and recommendation on when to use configuration vs. code vs off-the- shelf products.
* Support cross systems integrations across native Salesforce eco system, as well as other cloud technologies including AWS.
Partner with product owners to deliver tailored solutions that support business requirements, create a superlative user experience, and drive tangible business value.
* Participate in the planning and analysis of requirements for system enhancements, translating requirements into well-architecture solutions that best use the Salesforce platform and products.
* Analyze Salesforce tech debt, propose design and implement solutions.
* Function as tech lead to drive end to end projects.
A day in the life
You'll work on a cross functional team of Salesforce practitioners and Product stakeholders that owns the end-to-end user experience for a key application in the Advertising organization fleet of tools. You'll partner with business users to refine requirements, and your team mates to design and implement new features. This application orchestrates the steps involved to configure and deploys some of Amazon's largest Advertising campaigns.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production
- Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing or monitoring
- 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience on the Force.com platform
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch apex and Salesforce APIs at a large organization
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce point and click configuration using flows, validation rules, setup, roles & profiles, reports and dashboards at a large organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholders
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and operations experience
- Demonstrated success in managing mission-critical production instances, combining a proactive mindset to preemptively identify and address potential issues, while effectively prioritizing and resolving bugs and defects reported from the production environment based on their impact
- In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce CRM application architecture coupled with a good understanding around the business processes (Customer Service)
- Familiarity with Amazon's security certification processes (Amazon Security Review / Anvil, Kale)
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning, Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
- Certified Salesforce Administrator or equivalent experience
- Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder or Developer (DEV-401) Certification or equivalent experience
- Verbal/written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
