Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4 HANA MM/SD Solutions Architect who will be catering to the North America customers and involves supporting proactive and reactive business opportunities such as managed services and transformation. The individual will be closely working with our onsite sales / delivery teams, and participate in solution discussions, and workshops.

Role: SAP S/4 HANA MM/SD Solutions Architect

Job Level: Associate - Director

Location: Onsite - Foster City, California

Duration: Full Time only - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

The annual salary for this position is between $156,000/Year to $183,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

Role Summary:

The SAP Techno-functional Lead for Clinical Supply Chain will oversee the implementation, optimization, and support of SAP solutions tailored for clinical supply chain management. This role involves both technical and functional expertise to ensure efficient and compliant clinical trial supply processes.

Role Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Implementation:

Lead the design and implementation of SAP solutions for clinical supply chain management.

Ensure solutions align with business requirements and industry best practices.

Technical and Functional Expertise:

Provide technical leadership in configuring and customizing SAP modules related to clinical supply chain.

Offer functional insights to optimize clinical supply processes, including demand forecasting, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and shipment of clinical trial materials.

Process Optimization:

Identify and implement improvements in clinical supply chain processes.

Leverage SAP tools to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with clinical operations, quality assurance, supply chain, and IT teams.

Ensure seamless integration of clinical supply chain processes across departments.

Compliance and Quality Management:

Ensure clinical supply chain processes comply with regulatory standards.

Maintain high standards of quality management throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.

Training and Support:

Provide training and support to end-users on SAP functionalities.

Develop documentation and training materials.

Role Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in SAP implementation and support, with a focus on clinical supply chain.

Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Experience setting up and managing distribution protocols for PHI-III clinical studies, under IXRS or manual request strategies

Practical experience with Annex 13 (EU), Annex 2 (Canada), FDA CFR 21 drug labeling guidelines, drug pooling strategies, JIT labeling, and review of packaging and labeling batch records

Demonstrated experience with global clinical supply forecasting, planning, manufacturing, packaging, and labeling; inventory management; IXRS systems; 3rd Party service providers (clinical packaging/labeling); and budgetary forecasting/management

Knowledge of import and export of biologics from customs document creation (USDA, End Use, Customs Invoice), to import/export regulations (CRA, FDA CFR 21, CIQ (China Inspection and Quarantine), to brokerage set up (POA) and IOR responsibility

Skills:

Strong understanding of SAP modules related to clinical supply chain management.

Ability to interpret a clinical protocol for clinical supplies forecasting and procurement needs

Demonstrated experience with global clinical supply forecasting, planning, manufacturing, packaging, and labeling; inventory management; IXRS systems; 3rd Party service providers (clinical packaging/labeling); and budgetary forecasting/management

Knowledge of import and export of biologics from customs document creation (USDA, End Use, Customs Invoice), to import/export regulations (CRA, FDA CFR 21, CIQ (China Inspection and Quarantine), to brokerage set up (POA) and IOR responsibility

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and integration with clinical trial management systems (CTMS).

Work Environment:

This role may require occasional travel to client sites.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
