The Tool & Die Journeyman will plan, layout, and perform all bench and machine operations to build, service, repair, and maintain the tools, dies and fixtures throughout the facility while maintaining Lozier's quality and safety standards. The individual will rebuild dies and fixtures. Operation of a variety of hand and powered tools including, but not limited to, surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, belt sanders, saws, hoists, clamps, and measuring tools is necessary for this position. Forklift operation may also be required. The Journeyman also provides instruction to apprentices and trainees. Appropriate personal protective equipment must also be worn for this position.

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, constant hand usage; frequent standing and reaching; and occasional walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and elevated reaching.

Four years of previous tool & die experience is required. A degree in tool and die technology is preferred. The individual must possess a good attendance record; have good communication skills, both written and oral; and have the ability to work independently or with a team.

Additionally, the Trainer will administer the training program and perform hands on training with the Tool & Die employees.
