The Bus Driver will safely operate a school bus and supervise children on assigned routes under the general supervision of the Transportation Operations Supervisor. They will drive anywhere from 5-70 students on a designated route in San Diego, providing safe and secure transportation for students and students with special needs. They must regularly inspect the operating safety of the bus as well as assist children with on and offboarding (escort students across the street, using lift for wheelchairs...). The bus driver will clock in from 6-9am and 1-4:30pm. They will work the school year calendar, which is 182 days per year.

Required Skills & Experience
- A valid California Class A or B driver's license with appropriate passenger endorsement and air brake endorsement.
- Valid California Special Driver certificate for School Bus issue by CHP (DMV DL-45)
- Valid Medical Examiner's certificate (MEC)
- Valid First Aid certificate (or pass the Highway Patrol First Aid Test)
