SCV- Engineering Program Specialist (EPS) Manager
Cupertino, California
Summary
Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other's ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It's the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you'll do more than join something - you'll add something.
Beats Program Management is looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic manager for the Engineering Program Specialist (EPS) team to drive NPI documentation, build management, planning and material readiness for key technologies. The manager will also help create process and operational efficiencies, and support the development of the team.
Description
- Drive NPI build planning activities, including but not limited to training new Contract Manufacturers (CMs) on tools, building strategic partnerships with internal and external partners, developing risk mitigation plans, and executing issue resolution, supporting configuration management and build matrices as needed, and supporting shipment of engineering samples to teams for validation as needed.
- Communicate changes to ensure clear visibility on materials lead-time, logistic readiness, and shipping plans that can meet the development builds.
- Work closely with engineering on creating and releasing BOMs, part numbers, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and related technical drawings and documents.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution within and between teams, focus on top level objectives and develop a better course of action.
- Collaborate and facilitate communication across engineering, operations, and our vendor partners to meet aggressive cost, schedule, and quality goals. Work with key stakeholders to provide timely issue resolution and critical path management as top priorities shift.
- Work with cross-functional engineering, operations and configuration management teams, and leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Enable efficient development by creating and maintaining a streamlined process and clear paths for the EPS team to thrive.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and handle contending priorities.
