Insight Global is looking to hire a Lead Network Engineer to support a defense contract in Columbus, OH. This candidate will be responsible for:
Leading a team of about 11 other Network Engineers both virtually and in the Columbus location to manage the data center environment.
Assign network tickets that range from cabling, routing and switching configuration and troubleshooting, firewall administration, VPN support, and various other tasks.
Act as escalated level of support to the team on trouble tickets and potential network issues that may arise.
Provide recommendations to improve the network infrastructure and technologies being used.
Ensure accurate and timely application of patches, updates, and upgrades to the network.
Monitor the network performance and ensure performance optimization.
Provide on call support to ensure there is no down time across the network.
Provide documentation and reporting to keep management proactively informed on technical statuses.
Compensation = $135,000-$160,000

Required Skills & Experience
10 Years of Experience in Network Engineering providing support across Layers 1-4 of the network
Able to provide upgrades, configurations, and troubleshooting support to Cisco Routers and Switches
Familiar with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow to review and assign tickets to the team
Implement and enforce network security including firewall rules, (Palo Alto and F5) and STIG procedures
Strong communication and documentation skills to provide proactive updates to management and customers
Active Secret Clearance
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
CCNA, Palo Alto, or related Networking Cert
Previous experience working in a data center environment
Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
