Secret Windows System Engineer

We are currently hiring a Sr. Windows Engineer in support of a large Naval Program in Linthicum Heights, MD. This individual will join a team of 3 other System Engineers supporting 300-500 u , both onsite and virtually. This individual needs to be able to work independently and complete all system-related tasks from cradle to grave. He/she will be responsible for creating u in Active Directory, but more importantly completing authentications, file permissions, and domain administration. Additionally, he/she will be using SCCM to enable management, deployments, and enhance security. The Windows Engineer will work to optimize the environment, while maintaining security through following STIG guidelines and hardening the server environment.

Compensation: $65/hr. -- 80/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience

* LCAT: Bachelor's Degree & 7+ years of experience within Windows Engineering (can substitute YOE for BS Degree) and IAT Level II Certification
* Secret security clearance
* Extensive experience troubleshooting issues within a Windows O/S 7, 10 and/or 11 environment
* Strong experience setting up an Active Directory domain from start to finish, as well as managing/maintaining domain controllers & group policies within AD
* Strong automation experience with tools such as SCCM, WSUS
* Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automating system management
* Strong experience in data protection utilizing tools such as Backup Exec, Commvault, NetBackup, etc.
* Experience setting up, expanding and maintaining a virtual environment with VMWare or Hyper-V
* Prior experience maintaining STIG compliance from beginning to end within a production environment, including scanning, testing & remediation
