Security Engineer

* Incident Response: Respond to security incidents promptly, following established procedures. Collaborate with the SOC team to investigate and mitigate threats.

* Vulnerability Management: Identify and assess vulnerabilities across the systems. Implement remediation plans to address security gaps.

* Work with log data from various sources, including Splunk, to detect and analyze security events.

* Prior experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) is essential. Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools is a plus.

* NIS Framework: Understand and apply the NIS 861 framework for incident response. Be able to walk through an incident, from preparation to containment and follow-up.

* Interact with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and other security professionals.

* Proficiency with tools such as Splunk, Deep Watch, and Vectra is highly desirable.

* A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years beyond the initial 2 years) is required.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

* Minimum 3 years of experience in security operations or incident response.

* Security+ and CSYA certifications preferred.

* Familiarity with NISC incident response framework.

* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
