Overview

The Office of Graduate Admissions supports the enrollment objectives of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering at Tufts University. Graduate Admissions supports the Deans of each school, and members of the faculty, on the coordination of all aspects of graduate student recruitment, application processing, and marketing and communications. Graduate Admissions processes more than 5,000 applications annually to 30+ departments across 70+ programs for fall and spring semester entry to Tufts University.

The Senior Associate Director of Recruitment in the Office of Graduate Admissions serves as a critical team member responsible for recruiting prospective students into the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The Senior Associate Director of Recruitment plays a visible role in the office, and with campus partners, in building a culture of graduate admissions and will be expected to:
  • Assist the Director with data analysis and implementation of strategic recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Graduate Admissions to plan and execute recruitment plan.
  • Partner with the Director and Deans to expand outreach to key organizations and institutions, focused on the recruitment to our graduate programs.
  • Oversee the implementation of our recruitment marketing, and supporting departmental yield activities.
  • Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.
While this is a hybrid role, there is an expectation of regular campus presence throughout the year.

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:
  • Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a Bachelors degree and 8+ years of experience in graduate admissions
  • Direct experience with Slate, Admissions CRM
  • Superior interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion and experience recruiting and developing strategies for students of color and international students recruitment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment both independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree strongly preferred
  • Direct experience recruiting and supporting engineering and arts/sciences students
  • Experience working in partnership with faculty and departments
  • Managing a recruitment budget and supervising staff
  • Experience in an academic unit
Pay Range

Minimum $76,900.00, Midpoint $96,150.00, Maximum $115,400.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
