Insight Global is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join a full-service engineering consulting company located in Plainville, CT. This position is also available at the Director level with increased responsibility. This person could also sit in Providence Rhode Island or Portsmouth New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of business development in construction, engineering, waste, aerospace, or an adjacent industry. The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives, managing key client relationships, and driving the overall business development efforts. This role focuses on developing new market opportunities, enhancing client retention, and working closely with leadership to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Lead business development strategies with a focus on expanding into new industries and geographical markets.
- Mentor and manage junior business development team members, providing guidance on client acquisition and business growth tactics.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, acting as the main point of contact for high-profile accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop comprehensive strategies for client engagement and growth.
- Oversee the development and execution of complex proposals, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Collaborate with leadership to set strategic business goals and growth targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics, adjusting business strategies to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Represent the company at high-level meetings, trade shows, and networking events.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, offering insights into growth performance and potential opportunities.
- Ensure alignment of business development initiatives with overall company goals and objectives.
