Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
  • 7 years of experience in SQL and Data Visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar technologies).


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with data warehousing or data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Python, or R).
  • Experience in explaining technical analysis to stakeholders.
  • Experience in translating business requirements to Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.


About the job

In this role, you will use data to inform business and product decisions across the company. You will build tools to automate reporting and generate insight that will allow clients to quickly and accurately see how our key business products and processes are performing. You will be involved in projects from inception to delivery, ensuring reporting delivers high-quality and relevant data to intelligently grow our business. You will be working with a range of other business intelligence tools and platforms.

As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Consult with users or cross-functional decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.
  • Drive business intelligence solutions and infrastructure design to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval. Partner with upstream data providers to find and establish new source data pipelines.
  • Develop suites of reports, queries, and dashboards that access and consolidate information from a variety of data sources.
  • Design and implement full solutions that address specific key use cases. Help these data products fit within larger programs or initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support for cross-functional data users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards.
