Day To Day:

A Federal Client of Insight Global is seeking a qualified Senior - Computer Systems Analyst for our Atlanta, GA, location (can be 100% remote). We seek a team player to serve as an Azure Engineer with a blend of technical and functional skills concerning Azure VDI infrastructure. The mission is to provide development services for relatively complex applications using standard approaches or less complex systems using new methods.

Pay Rate: $35-40/hr

Role Responsibilities:

* Securing cloud solutions so that only authorized personnel can access them

* Manage cloud infrastructure from the Azure portal, PowerShell, or using the CLI

* Leading the team with reporting on current infrastructure status and planning for future usage

* Leading in Azure project development and programs considering the implementation of Azure

* Deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure, including desktop images, host pools, and session hosts.

* Monitor and troubleshoot solutions, including user experience, performance, and availability.

* Implement and manage security policies for solutions, including access controls, network security, and data protection.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

* Provide technical support to end-u , including troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and application access issues.

* Develop and maintain documentation related to deployed solutions, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and user guides.

* Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to deployed solutions, including new features, tools, and technologies.

* Analysis of load, log aggregation, reporting, systems performance analysis & monitoring

* Backing up data and ensuring that it can be accessed when needed

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

Typically requires at least ten years relevant experience without a Degree; 4+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 3+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree.

* 2+ years of experience implementing and managing large-scale Azure solutions.

* 2+ years of experience implementing and managing Azure Virtual Desktop solutions.

* 2+ years of experience working knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure, including desktop images, host pools, and session hosts.

* 2+ years of experience working with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V and VMware.

* 2+ years of experience working with Azure AD, Azure Networking, and Azure Security Center.

* Experience with automation and scripting tools like PowerShell is expected.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Must be familiar with industry standards, available technologies, and both security & system best practices.

* Experience installing, testing, evaluating, and integrating various applications and 3rd party solutions into the virtual architecture.

* Experience with AppSense, RES - Automation Manager.

* Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure, including desktop images, host pools, and session hosts.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to developing technical standards and best practices.

* Microsoft Azure certifications AZ800 (AZ-800: Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure), AZ801 (AZ-801: Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services), AZ140 (AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop), or equivalent experience/training required.
