Key job responsibilities

• \tPartner with folks across the company on developing flexible and scalable analytics to drive insights and decision making by internal customers

• \tDesign and build reliable, performant and high quality scalable data architecture, data models, and pipelines to provide actionable insights and accommodate needs for our cross-functional teams

• \tYou will have the opportunity to design the most critical business level aggregated tables at One Medical

• \tBuild out suites of standard KPIs and metrics

• \tDefine the strategy for how we model and warehouse data that is accessed by most teams and analysts across the company

• \tBuild proper data quality detection to identify data issues in the data transformation stages and fix the problems to meet pipelines / table health SLAs

• \tChampion the practice of making data-informed decisions by ensuring internal stakeholders such as product management, operations, marketing, clinical effectiveness, finance and the executive team are making data driven decisions quickly and with confidence.

• \tBuild and improve data tooling in partnership with data engineering and platform teams

• \tMentor junior team members and team members throughout the broader Amazon Health Services organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of data engineering experience

- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

- Experience with SQL

- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

- Experience mentoring team members on best practices

- Experience working with DBT.

- Experience in dimensional data modelling and schema design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR

- Experience operating large data warehouses

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
