Number of Positions: 1 (one)

DUTIES: Receive work/service requests by phone, inter-office mail, or e-mail. Ensure the information received is complete and follow up, as needed. Create work orders using this data and verify all information is entered correctly. Estimate completion time and select the right trades or contractors for routing the work orders appropriately. Close work orders once jobs are completed. Communicate with CDA personnel and trades, CDA contractors, and tenants for clarification and coordination. Occasional field verification is required to maintain accurate data. Maintained equipment/asset database for the airport, update information, revise form templates, maintained an efficient filling system and create reports as needed. Become very proficient in the Work Management System - Cityworks and AMS. Provide training to the users of the programs to ensure work orders are created, processed, and closed out correctly and efficiently. Performs other related duties as required.

HOURS: 8:00am - 4:00pm

DAYS: Monday - Friday

The candidate selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment (STA)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of data entry work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires applicants to PASS A TEST in order to be interviewed. The interviewed Bidders who possess the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected by SENIORITY order and according to the CBA rules. The interviewed NON-Bidders who possess the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected, AND

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

Highest Level of education completed

Previous work experience in using a personal computer and an e mail communication system.

VETERANS PREFERENCE: The City of Chicago offers Veterans Preference to both current, active military personnel AND military personnel who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States and have received an honorable or general discharge. Eligible candidates must have at least six months of active duty documented. In order to receive the veterans preference, candidates need to indicate whether or not they are a veteran by answering "yes" or "no" to the question on the online application that asks, "Are you currently serving on active duty for at least six months in the Armed Forces of the United States OR have you served in the Armed Forces of the United States on active duty for at least six months and received an honorable or general discharge?" Residency Requirement: All employees of the City of Chicago must be actual residents of the City as outlined in 2-152-050 of the City of Chicago Municipal Code. Proof of residency will be required.
