Senior Director of Industrial Engineering

What Will You Do?

You will lead the IE team for Ashley Furniture Industries providing support for our domestic and overseas facilities. This includes the development of standard data packages to establish and maintain labor standards, providing cost estimates for labor content on new products and special projects, assisting in developing layouts for effective use of equipment and processes as well as being a lead resource on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives throughout the division.

What Do You Need?

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Required
• Experience in standards development and performance/incentive pay
• Experience in operations, finance, quality and global manufacturing
• 10 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution establishing methods and developing routings and standards; applying standards to work for pay purposes, Required
• Ability to understand industrial organization in terms of pay and motivation to improve rate-based pay methods
• Commitment to Continuous Improvement, ideally combined with a Lean Six Sigma certification
• Experience executing and managing Value Stream Mapping initiatives and process maps
