Electric Power Systems is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a passion for digital & microprocessors to design and support Electric Power Distribution products. The candidate will be expected to support both new product design and ongoing support for existing distribution products as well as bridging the gap between the hardware, software, and systems teams. This role will include regularly troubleshooting complex problems, developing solutions, and communicating outcomes while working with other circuit, electronics packaging, software, and system engineers. Candidate would ideally be familiar with aerospace design processes, and procedures such as DO-160, DO-254 and DO-178.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting design related problems for both in service and development products
  • Creation of design concepts and requirements for new programs
  • Advance digital and microprocessor architecture technologies for the product with a focus on re-usability for future programs
  • Collaborate across disciplines to complete project milestones and objectives


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Experience in digital and microprocessor architecture design of products
  • Previous experience working in a team environment and communicating across multiple disciplines and levels of management
  • Ability to read wiring schematics
  • Experience in high-speed signal analysis and signal integrity tools
  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience in PWB layout for CPUs and high-speed signals including routing, terminations, layering, and other aspects
  • Familiarity with DO-160 and DO-254 hardware design processes as well as DO-178 software design processes
  • Experience with technologies related to specifically power distribution systems.
  • Experience with Word/Excel/ PowerPoint
  • History of continuous improvement and relentless root cause methodology
