The Senior Electrical Engineer is a technical position expected to play a collaborative role in the electrical engineering design activities developing complex medical diagnostic equipment. Through his or her expertise, this individual contributes to the proof of concept, definition, development and support of specific components and services, throughout the lifecycle of the product or technology.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Supports technology, product and/or services research and development, assists in the functional definition of new subsystems as to ensure serviceability, reliability and human factors of the technical solution by performing more complex design control, evaluation and/or testing.
  • Ensures technological, business and/or scientific watch in the relevant expertise to consider suitable solutions; understands business rationale in the choice of the foreseen solutions.
  • Ensures the identified solutions, taking also into account all environmental items (like cost, regulations) are relevant; by performing technical or process reviews, by facilitating risk analysis, by controlling implementation and by facilitating information exchanges between departments that contributes to the definition of suitable solutions.
  • Promotes the growth of technical or business expertise of team members through mentoring and targeted on the task training.
  • Assures that all relevant documentation is created.
  • Assures knowledge transfer to other function (in or outside R&D) for product launch by training, documentation and support in case of complex problems within the area of expertise.
  • Encourage best practices in engineering design and leads the utilization of advanced electrical engineering theories, methods and research techniques.
  • Create appropriate technical documentation, including technical reports and lab notebook unit tests as required.
  • Participate in technical design reviews.
  • Lead and direct others in a technical environment, and work collaboratively with members across all engineering disciplines.
  • Comply with design control guidelines and Quality requirements within the company's regulated ISO/FDA environment.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience working in an ISO/FDA regulated environment.
  • Proven capability to design and troubleshoot electrical systems down to detail level.
  • Ability to interface and coordinate with Mechanical, Firmware and System Engineers.
  • Working knowledge and creative solutions to address electrical safety and EMC requirements.
  • Working knowledge of both analog and digital systems.
  • Working knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Quality Improvements.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' work experience in design and development of electronic systems experience in design and development of electronic systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO, UL and CE requirements
  • Experience with design in consideration of EMI/EMC
  • Training/proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Training/proficiency in Altium Designer.
