Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) at the University of Missouri is pleased to announce the opening of a Senior Executive Assistant position. This position supports the Director of Sponsored Programs Administration as well as the SPA leadership team.

Primary duties include the following:
  • Coordinate Research Administration training opportunities.
  • Manage departmental purchasing, staff equipment needs, and ProCard purchases
  • Supervise Office Support Staff duties, including mailing invoices and processing consulting agreements.
  • Oversee the cash receipts process for manual checks received in Sponsored Programs, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Arrange and manage staff travel for professional development, including reimbursements.
  • Schedule and manage internal SPA staff meetings and maintain/update distribution lists and the internal Resource Page.
  • Coordinate SPA maintenance tickets with campus facilities.
  • Welcome new SPA staff, ensuring system access, equipment setup, and introductions.
  • Oversee various administrative duties, including the Dunning Letter process, and logging PCEs.
  • Review and distribute BCM errors daily.
  • Support the Director with calendar management, meeting scheduling, material preparation, and other tasks.
  • Manage the process to ensure faculty complete the required Responsible Conduct of Research training.

You should possess good professional judgment, a strong work ethic, and be able to appropriately prioritize project deadlines in a self-directed environment. In addition, you should have strong problem solving and organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, a collaborative nature, and be able to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills, are required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Salary Range: $51,875 - $63,000 per year
