Global Commercial Services (GCS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help large, medium, and small businesses around the world manage almost all the facets of their business spending. The GCS Lead Financial Officer (LFO) team is responsible for providing financial management, decision support, and planning & results analysis to the Chief Commercial Officer and their direct reports to help achieve BU and AXP financial targets. The team works closely with GCS business partners and multiple Finance teams to drive insights which have a meaningful impact on GCS business strategy.

This position will be part of a team focused on strategic decision support for the Corporate Program Product Managementteam. This team is focused on creating best-in-class payment experiences and capabilities meeting the evolving needs across our largest GCS clients. To maintain our leadership position in the Corporate Payments space, the candidate will need to collaborate with business partners to determine the financial and customer impact of strategies by providing data-driven insights and modeling.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Develop detailed data-driven analytics at the portfolio, product, and customer levels to inform business decisions
  • Build relationships and collaborate with product managers and finance colleagues to provide insights into the past performance and future outlook of Corporate Program products
  • Provide financial consultation on a variety of strategic product initiatives and investment ideas
  • Develop and produce post-launch tracking of initiatives for business partners and senior Finance leaders
  • Own and lead recurring Finance processes, (e.g., monthly R&Os and reviews, annual plan, investment optimization, and long-range plan)


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must have 2 to 3 years of experience in finance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ease with complex data sets, including advanced Excel.
  • Team player that can work closely with finance colleagues and adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work through complex projects independently.
  • Ability to create and maintain financial and economic models.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SQL preferred, otherwise, a desire to learn SQL and work with customer-level data.


Qualifications

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
