Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst, Military Programs who will coordinate multi-functional departmental information into military financial plans. You will directly support and provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to both ASG Finance and ASG Program leadership. You have responsibilities/opportunities to present financial packages to senior level leadership. In addition, you will be reporting to the Military FP&A Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multi-disciplined teams to develop financial and strategic plans to support newly won military programs.
  • Develop the annual budget and recurring forecast process. Perform monthly financial variance analysis
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, and on time delivery to provide visibility into business performance and areas to drive efficiency
  • Subject matter expert on CAS, FAR/DFAR, DCAA/DCMA audits, TINA, government compliance as it relates to current and projected government programs
  • Provide audit support for DCAA/DCMA and post award audits
  • Work with program management team to understand and manage the ongoing relationships with each customer including reporting, analysis, contract re-negotiations and business growth strategies
  • Effectively communicate financial results and trends to internal leadership and recommend appropriate course of action when results vary from forecast
  • Plan, facilitate and implement ad hoc analysis or financial models to support decision making
  • Drive changes to standard work across the organization.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensure internal financial controls environment is established and in compliance with US GAAP, SOX, CAS, and all international legal and statutory requirements


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis experience
  • Detailed knowledge of key requirements, practices, and terms and conditions relating to the sale of products paid for by the Government including: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Supplement to the FAR such as VA, DoD, GSA, etc. and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
  • Detailed knowledge of EVMS (Earned Value Management System) reporting
  • Experience with Excel: Pivot Tables, Lookups
  • PowerPoint, creating presentations
  • Able to travel up to 10% when circumstances permit


Preferred Qualifications
  • Automated Reporting Tools: WebI, Business Warehouse etc.
  • Masters Degree
  • Familiarity with the Aerospace industry
  • SAP and HFM knowledge
  • Comfortable working in a data driven, fast-paced, ambiguous, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative environment with all stakeholders
