Duties & Responsibilities

Complete morning distribution

Reassign new accounts from HCIs not in attendance and monitor worklist throughout the day.

Review new HCIs' cases and provide feedback.

Review cases with pre-cert status "HCI pending or blank" for 14 days out.

Utilize H +H BE Amb Surg Financial Clearance report to review upcoming procedures.

Inform requesting service of any denials/ missing clinical information requested by insurance company and any issues that arise that will delay the processing of the assigned case.

Escalate any barriers or obstacles that prevent abilities to complete duties.

Ensure Grant report is completed by staff and submitted timely

Facilitate huddles and meetings to reinforce and disseminate new or revised policies and procedures to HCIs.

Conduct scheduled monthly 1:1 meetings.

Assess and conducts timely follow-up regarding disciplinary action, counseling, evaluations, and performance improvement plan.

Minimum Qualifications

Six months of service as a Hospital Care Investigator.
